(Badminton news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: The Indian pair of Chirag Shetty and Rankireddy began the match well but the world number 1 pair of Gideon and Sukamuljo of Indonesia started asserting dominance over them and won the first set quite comfortably 21-13. The second set began in similar fashion with the Indian pair taking an early lead but the Indonesian pair overwhelmed them with a tremendous display of skill and won the second set 21-12.

Chirag Shetty and Rankireddy will now face Lane Ben and Vendy Sean of Great Britain in their final group match tomorrow. The Indians will surely want to end the group stage with a win and qualify for the quarterfinals as they had already beaten the world no 3 pair from Chinese Taipei and are in a strong position to qualify if they beat the pair from Great Britain.
