Chelsea look to end winless run at Tottenham Hotspur stadium

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns for the London derby

(Football news) Chelsea have become sort of an example of ‘money can’t buy success’. Despite spending a lot of money in the January window, Chelsea have struggled to get results. After the World Cup break they have won just 2 games. Tottenham Hotspur on the other hand are not much better either. They have had one off successes like the win against Manchester City. Spurs did win 2-0 against West Ham on the weekend and they will be keen to keep the momentum going. Chelsea have won 6 out their last 8 league games against Chelsea while the other two have been draws.

Chelsea are still missing Armando Broja, Christian Pulisic and Edouard Mendy. Cesar Azpilicueta suffered a head injury against Southampton and he is out of contention. The big boost for the blues is that N’Golo Kante is back in training and will most likely return to the squad. It remains to be seen how long Graham Potter waits before putting him back into the starting line-up. Potter is under massive pressure and he has to get his team selection right considering that he has such a big squad. There have been sparks of good football at Chelsea but the end product is completely missing.

Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of injury issues. Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon are all still out of contention. Heung-Min Son started on the bench against West Ham but he did come on and score a goal. He is likely to replace Richarlison in the starting XI while the rest of the team will most probably remain the same. Antonio Conte, who is struggling with his own health issues, could be back on the touchline.
