''He was going to play. He knew who he was matched up with,'' Brown said. ''Don't let him fool you. He knew he was going to play the whole time.''
''Luka kind of got it going a little bit, and then the team got it going a little bit,'' Brown said. ''It's just weathering the storm.''
''Chicago was just one game,'' Brown said. ''There's going to be times where you're going to not make shots and it's going to put pressure on our defense. More times than not, this team's going to play the right way.''
The Golden State Warriors got back to winning ways as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers 124-107. For the Warriors, Wiggins scored a season-high 31 points as Curry added 22 points, nine assists and six rebounds, while Thompson scored 18 points. John Wall was limited to nine points on 2-for-8 shooting and missed all three of his 3-point tries. Clippers star Kawhi Leonard sat out with a sprained right ankle. With this result the Warriors improved their record 9-10.
''Steph's going to be Steph, always,'' Wiggins said. ''Tonight the ball was moving and found a lot of people, made some shots.''
''It looks good and we'll continue to do it,'' Kerr said of Green leading the second team.
''He's shooting the lights out. He's just been so consistent from the field and from the 3-point line,'' coach Steve Kerr said. ''You see how comfortable he is in our offense, constantly slipping to the rim.''
