Dwayne Bravo appointed as the Afghanistan bowling consultant for the T20WC

(Cricket News) The Caribbean superstar Dwayne Bravo has been appointed as the bowling consultant of the Afghanistan side for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA. The Afghanistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday regarding the new appointment.

ACB stated that DJ Bravo will join the side during their preparatory camp just before the global event. The Afghanistan side has already arrived in the Caribbean and are set to begin a 10-day long camp in St. Kitts and Nevis to prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Bravo in his playing days has been of the great West Indian bowling all-rounder. He represented the West Indies national side in a total of 295 International games. He has also 100 First Class, 227 List A and 573 T20 caps to his name.

In his long international career, Bravo scored 6423 runs and picked up 363 wickets. He is currently the leading wicket-taker in T20 cricket with 625 scalps to his name in the shortest format. He has also scored nearly 7000 runs in the format.

The West-Indian all-rounder has a lot of experience when it comes to T20 format. He has played a lot of franchise cricket all over the world and has also been one of the best bowlers at the toughest league IPL.

Apart from his wonderful career as a player, Bravo also has a good experience when it comes to the coaching aspect of things. He is currently the bowling coach of his former side Chennai Super Kings at the Indian Premier League.
