Bournemouth Suffer Ünal Injury Blow

According to Relevo, Enes Ünal, a forward for Bournemouth, has torn his cruciate ligament for the second time in his career. The Turkish striker reportedly suffered the injury during a team training session; additional testing is required to determine the full extent of the tear, but it is already known that Ünal has injured his cruciate ligament.

It’s important to note that this is not the player’s first injury of this kind; in 2023, Ünal suffered a cruciate ligament tear while playing for Getafe, which caused him to miss seven months of action. The 27-year-old has made 17 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, contributing one assist and two goals.

“We are devastated to confirm that Enes Unal has suffered a tear to his right anterior cruciate ligament during a training session this week,” the club stated in a statement.

“First and foremost, our thoughts are with Enes at this moment as he begins to process another significant period of rehabilitation ahead,” the club said. “He will undergo surgery to repair the ligament in the coming days and the club’s medical and performance staff will support him in every way possible throughout.”
