beIN SPORTS bags Middle East & North Africa rights to debut Extreme E season

According to a press release by Extreme E, beIN MEDIA GROUP, the global sports and entertainment group, has acquired the non-exclusive broadcast rights to the debut season of environment-conscious racing series Extreme E in 24 countries in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).

beIN SPORTS will broadcast live races having the 100 per cent electric motorsport cars, highlight shows along with the series' 20-part magazine programme, Electric Odyssey.

The Extreme E season kick started with the inaugural race in Saudi Arabia on April 3. The Championship will next tour Senegal (May 29-30), Greenland (August 28-29), Brazil (October 23-24) and Patagonia (December 11-12).

By scheduling races in regions that are facing the effects of the climate crisis, like deserts, tropical rainforests and the Arctic, the objective of the championship is to increase viewers’ awareness of climate issues and encourage them to take measures to protect the planet.

With some of the biggest names in motorsport which includes Jenson Button, Sebastien Loeb and Jamie Chadwick – the series guarantees to be an exciting adventure for motorsport lovers in the MENA region.

beIN entertains and operates in 43 nations in the world, including 24 nations across the MENA.
