Bayern wants to demonstrate to Leverkusen their own perfection.

When Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen square off on Saturday at 17:30 BST, the former team will be looking to exact revenge on the Bundesliga winners.

The team led by Vincent Kompany, who is unbeaten, leads Leverkusen by three points at the top of the table.

With his 41st league goal last week, Harry Kane became the highest-scoring English player in Bundesliga history, and Xabi Alonso’s team will have to stop him.

“We’re going to see how strong Bayern is because they play very risky football and against a good side like Bayer Leverkusen, that may give you trouble,” Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur stated on the Euro Leagues podcast on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Florian Wirtz, who scored his first goals in the Champions League last week in Leverkusen’s 4-3 victory over Wolfsburg, will be looking to assist his team outscore the Munich hosts.

But in their last three games, Bayern has scored twenty goals, which puts them ahead of newly promoted Holstein Kiel by six, Dinamo Zagreb by nine, and Werder Bremen by five.

Exequiel Palacios converted an equalizing penalty for Alonso’s team in the 94th minute to retain their unblemished record as the match ended 2-2 last season.
