Sai Praneeth crashes out of Tokyo Olympics after losing against Mark Caljouw

(Badminton news) Olympics 2021 Live Update: Sai Praneeth's badminton men's singles campaign came to an end in the second Group round as he lost 14-21, 14-21 to Mark Caljouw (WR 29) of the Netherlands. The Indians finished last in the group and third overall. Both of his matches were against players with lower rankings. Mark also made history by becoming the first Dutch player to reach the round of 16 in the Olympics.

Meanwhile, PV Sindhu has advanced to the knockout stages of the women's draw.
