Indian paddler Sharath Kamal loses to Long Ma in men’s singles Round 3 match

(Table tennis news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: Reigning Olympic gold medallist Long Ma from China defeated Indian paddler Sharath Kamal 4-1 in the men’s singles Round 3 match. In a closely contested battle between the two, especially in the first three sets, Long Ma won the first 11-7 but Sharath Kamal fought back in the second set with an 11-8 win. However, the men’s singles and team gold medallist from the Rio Olympics showed just why he has accomplished it all as he won every set after the second game for a result of 11-7, 8-11, 13-11, 11-4, and 11-4.

As one of the greatest table tennis players of the current generation, Long Ma qualified for the Round of 16 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gym – Table 1 after a match that lasted 46 minutes and looks like one of the favourites to win gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
