(Cricket news) England Women defeated New Zealand at the first Royal London x ACE One Day International by 30 runs with Heather Knight and Katherine Brunt leading from the front. Knight scored her 22nd ODI half century with a score of 89 while Brunt’s 43 helped England reach a total of 241 runs.
If the battling exploits weren’t enough, Brunt bowled four maiden overs consecutively for eventual figures of 8-4-22-1. Two wickets each from Nat Sciver, Kate Cross and Sophie Ecclestone and a maiden wicket by Charlie Dean reduced New Zealand to 211 runs.
