Bundesliga preview: Can anyone stop Bayern Munich from winning the league?

(Football news) After the first match week it is a clear indication that Bayern Munich is on the hunt for its 10th consecutive Bundesliga title. Although they drew their first match against Borussia Mönchengladbach 1-1 the signs were ominous as Lewandowski looked sharper, fitter and hungrier to retain the title. The likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig will be hoping to challenge the Bavarians and end their 9 year title run.

The defending champions Bayern Munich face FC Koln in their second match of the season. After a disappointing draw in their first match, new manager Julian Nagelsmann will be hoping to assert dominance over them and get their first win of the season. With the likes of Alba and Boateng leaving, all eyes will be on the young french centre back Dayot Upamecano.

Borussia Dortmund will face Freiburg in their second match after thumping Eintracht Frankfurt by 5 goals and new manager Marco Rose will be hoping for a similar performance. With Jadon Sancho’s departure, a lot of onus is on Marco Reus to perform and stay fit for his club. If Dortmund are to challenge for the title then Erling Haaland will be one of their key players to watch out for.

RB Leipzig will be facing VFB Stuttgart, after a disappointing loss to Mainz in their first match, they will be hoping to bounce back with a win. Jesse Marsch would be hopeful that new signing Andre Silva continues his amazing goal scoring form for Leipzig as they look to win their first Bundesliga title. Marcel Sabitzer and Emil Forsberg will be key for the club as the Leipzig fans would want both of them to continue their rich vein of form after both endured an amazing Euro.
