Bowlers looking to be on top in this year’s T20 World Cup

(Cricket news): The 7th T20 World Cup will commence from October 14th, with the recent batting collapse of the Indian Team against England it gave us a glimpse of the bowling attack of the England side. The squads have not been announced by the teams. But there are a lot of probables who have performed well in recent matches. Defending champions West Indies will look to win a record third title and Australia who are still looking for a title as their best performance came in 2010 when they lost to England.

West Indies won their second trophy with a spectacular performance from Carlos Brathwaite hitting four huge sixes to take the trophy in the most dramatic fashion. They have a strong batting lineup and their bowling squad includes Sheldon Cottrell and all rounder Jason Holder. Dwayne Bravo will also prove to be handy and Sunil Narine will be on top if he is selected into the main squad. They can be a well balanced team as now the bowlers are also finding their form.

The New Zealand team has one of the best bowling attacks amongst all, it will be spearheaded by Trent Boult who has the ability to bowl balls over 140km/h and with great accuracy. The side has got two bowlers who are in the top 10 of the ICC t20 Bowlers, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi, a combination of pace and spin. The shorter format of the game needs change and a variety of options especially in the death overs. They will be looking to win their first T20 trophy and captain Kane Williamson will lead the team.

The England side will look to erase their painful memory of losing to the West Indies after coming close to picking up the trophy. The bowling would consist of the likes of Mark Wood and Sam Curran. They will be led by Adil Rashid who can prove to be a vital addition to the team. They won their first title 11 years ago and can work with the young stalwarts to take revenge for last time.

Australia has a well balanced team with world class bowlers and batsmen. Their bowling line up has three of the finest pace bowlers, namely Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood who have proven to be a deadly combination. Though they lost their recent matches to West Indies and Bangladesh, they have proven to be the best side in the ICC tournaments. They would look for a top finish to prove themselves in the shorter format of the game.

The Indian team has the yorker king Jasprit Bumrah leading the attack along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar to swing the ball around. In the spin department led by Yuzvendra Chahal will try to be at their best. Hardik Pandya will need to comeback to his old self to be included in the bowling attack. After winning the inaugural tournament, India failed to make an impact until it reached the semifinals in 2014 where it lost to Sri Lanka.
