Memphis Depay scored the winner for Barca as they dominated the field in the first half, Jordi Alba set up the goal and a fine finish by Sergi Roberto into the second minute of the match saw the team taking an early lead. Getafe found the net for the first time in this season and it couldn’t come at a better time as Sandro Ramirez shot one across Ter Stegen in the 18th minute for an equaliser.

As things looked bright in the Getafe campaign, Memphis played spoilsport once again as he scored in the 30th minute of the match to bring back hope for the team and they continued to dominate the first half. In the second half, Getafe took possession and looked to come back as they put Barca in the defense. As David Timor came in for Carles Aleñá, things changed and Barcelona cruised home even though they barely made it through.

At Benito Villamarín, Real Madrid and Real Betis went toe to toe as there was nothing to separate the two. The first half saw both the teams entertaining the crowds as Betis looked to penetrate the defence but none of them could find the net. In the second half, Karim Benzema came close to scoring one but Rui Silva managed with a quick reaction in the 52nd minute. Dani Carvajal lifted up the spirits as he scored with a powerful volley in the 62d minute to secure the win for Real Madrid. Betis had a chance to come back in added time but Madrid keeper Thibaut Courtois held on to the ball to stop one from Martin Montoya towards the end.

At Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, Atletico Madrid snatched victory from Villarreal as the match saw four goals coming in the second half. The first half saw both the teams trying to push in the ball but the goalkeepers were not troubled much as spectators saw the magic come alive in the second half. Yeremi Pino started the goal scoring fiasco as his goal saw Villarreal taking the lead in the 52nd minute but Luis Suárez stepped up and scored the equaliser four minutes later.

Saul Nigez later came in for Suarez as there was only 20 minutes left on the clock, Pino again caused trouble for Atletico as he set up a goal with Arnaut Danjuma who had come 10 minutes ago into the field. It was Aranut’s first goal for the side as victory looked certain for Villarreal, the match never failed to surprise the spectators at any point in the second half and finally ended the match with an own goal. Yes, the second half tested both the teams and Aissa Mandi headed one towards the net as Gerónimo Rulli watched the ball take a stroll towards the end. It was a heartbreaking finish for Villareal as Atletico Madrid must still be wondering how it ended in a draw.
