Anjum and Tejaswini falter in the first hurdle in Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions

(Shooting news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: Anjum Moudgil and Tejaswini Sawant failed to qualify for the finals of the Women's  50m Rifle 3 Positions  in the Tokyo Olympics. Anjum Moudgil finished 15th scoring 1167 with an average of 9.725 and Tejaswini Sawant finished 33rd scoring 1154 with an average of 9.617 in the qualification round.

The top 8 athletes qualify for the finals which will be held today. The event requires athletes to shoot in three positions while firing 40 shots in each position. They start with kneeling then go prone and finish with standing. These events have a time limit of 2 hours and 45 minutes and in the finals they compete for over an hour.
