Al Nassr qualify for the semi finals as Ronaldo was again on the receiving end of criticism from fans for the tantrums he was throwing on the pitch
Al Nassr aim to win their first Kings Cup since 1990

(Football news) Al-Nassr got back to winning ways when they defeated Abha 3-1 in the King’s Cup quarterfinals as goals from Al Najei, Al Khaibari and Maran were enough for them to qualify for the next round. For Abha, Abdulfattah Adam had been outstanding since coming off the bench and scored a consolation goal for them. Cristiano Ronaldo again huffed and puffed but grew frustrated as he failed to create any real clear cut chances, which was Al Nassr’s only concern.

Cristiano Ronaldo again was booked for yelling at the referee, accused of diving, and was later substituted which clearly left him frustrated as Al Nassr advanced to the King Cup semi finals thanks to the fastest goal in the competition’s history. Cristiano Ronaldo looked very agitated as the teams exited the pitch for the halftime break, he appeared unimpressed again when he was replaced shortly before full-time, having made his displeasure with the officiating clear once more before leaving the field.

Ronaldo’s poor performance was insignificant when Al Nassr defeated Abha 3-1 thanks to first-half goals by Sami Al-Najei and Abdullah Al-Khaibar. While in the second half, an opportunistic strike by Mohammed Maran three minutes after the break killed the tie. Al-Najei took around 10 seconds to complete a move that began with a clever backheel from Ronaldo from kickoff in what was a lightning-fast start for Al Nassr.

Al-Khaibar doubled the lead with a superb first-time finish from a cross, and Abha’s hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Maran scored a third from a very tight angle as he capitalized on a poor goalkeeping error. Former Saudi Arabia international Abdulfattah Adam, who is on loan from Al Nassr, scored a consolation goal when goalkeeper Nawaf Alaqidi parried the ball to his feet. Al Nassr will now be hopeful of winning the King Cup for the first time since 1990, which means that it would directly earn the six-time champions a spot in the AFC Champions League group stage in 2023/24.
