Antonio Perosevic charged with violent conduct against referee by AIFF

(Football news) SC East Bengal’s player Antonio Perosevic has been charged by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with ‘violent conduct towards the referee’ following a red card during Match 32 of the Hero Indian Super League 2021/22 on December 17th against NorthEast United FC. According to the charge notice issued by the Committee, it states that Perosevic was 'expelled for using excessive force against the referee'.

The player has reported violating Article 48.1.2 of the AIFF Disciplinary Code and faces 'sanctions for serious infringement punishable by an expulsion undertaken against Match Officials', according to Article 50 of the Code. Perosevic has until December 23rd to submit a reply to defend his actions and will remain ineligible for selection, serving a one match ban when SC East Bengal takes on Hyderabad FC on December 21st.
