(Football news) PSG defeated Real Madrid by 4 goals to nil. PSG now have 9 points and are at the top of the table while Real Madrid on the other hand are 2nd on the table with 6 points. PSG clearly showed their experience at this level to brush aside an inexperienced Real Madrid.
The atmosphere was very hostile for Real Madrid due to PSG's incredible home support. Striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto went around the goalkeeper to open the scoring in the 13th minute. 28 minutes later Sara Dabritz doubled the home side's advantage after a complete defensive pinball by Las Blancas. Katoto scored her second in the 54th minute from a corner. Real Madrid's night got even worse when a comical own goal by Rocio made it 4-0.

Real Madrid missed their regular center half Peter Babbet, defensive midfielder Aurélie Kaci and talisman striker Kosovore Asllani. Las Blancas were physically and tactically dominated on every end of the pitch. The severe height disadvantage came into play more often than Madrid fans would've wanted as every set piece was a nightmare for Real Madrid. PSG skipper Grace Geyoro owned the midfield with her raw physical presence and intricate ball control. Despite it being 4-0, Real Madrid were probably lucky with the amount of chances and possession PSG had. It could've easily been 7-0 or more.
Despite all the glory and golden history of Real Madrid, their women's team is just a season old unlike PSG who are one of the best in Europe. Real Madrid were the underdogs but due to the stature of the club a 4-0 defeat more so because of the manner of it will hurt the side. Real Madrid have no time to recover as they travel to Real Betis on Saturday. The reverse fixture in Madrid on 18th November will give the Merengues a chance at redemption but they will first have to win against Betis. After finishing 2nd in their debut Spanish top flight season they now sit 11th on the table after 9 games, 17 points behind FC Barcelona.
