According to a press release by Cricket Ireland, Ireland Wolves have made a couple of changes to their travelling party for their upcoming tour to Bangladesh consisting of eight multi format matches against Bangladesh A.
The key changes include Head Coach Pete Johnston and Cricketer George Dockrell opting out of the tour. Therefore, Graham Ford and Stuart Barnes will now step into the coaching shoes and oversee the tour from a coaching point of view, and a replacement player will be announced shortly.
Andrew White, Chair of National Men’s Selectors, said, “We completely respect the decision of George not to opt in, and fully understand Pete’s decisions based around family circumstances. The playing and coaching group have been busy preparing for the trip in line with COVID protocols, and we look forward to a competitive month of cricket ahead.”
“We expect to be in a position to announce a replacement for George shortly.” He added.
The Ireland Wolves squad is:
Harry Tector (c), Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Peter Chase, Gareth Delany, Stephen Doheny, Jonathan Garth, Shane Getkate, Graham Hume, Jeremy Lawlor, Josh Little, James McCollum, Neil Rock, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White (with one replacement player to be added shortly).
