In his discussions about Barcelona, Lionel Messi has shown his admiration for Hansi Flick’s dynamic young squad.

With players like Marc Casado, Lamine Yamal, and Pau Cubarsi playing frequently, the German has guided his club to the top of the Spanish league.

Messi appears to be enjoying watching his old squad this season and is not shocked to see La Masia graduates playing a key part for the team.

When he told TV3, he said, “I think it’s spectacular and it doesn’t surprise me because it’s not something new, or at least since I arrived in Barcelona when I was 13.”

“I believe it’s amazing that the guys have been given this chance for a few years now. They react in this manner when given the chance and the trust because they are the most familiar with the team and have played this way since they were young. When they are given support, these things occur, just as they have in the past.

Messi’s return to the city is something Barcelona is praying for.
