Pele’s Son Praises Real Madrid Star’s Similarities

Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League comeback victory was made possible by Vinicius Jr.’s valiant performance against Borussia Dortmund.

Despite Kylian Mbappe’s arrival, the Brazilian remains the team’s most valuable player, and he keeps demonstrating this in every match.

For his incredible season, which included a goal against Dortmund in the UCL final, the Brazilian star is scheduled to receive his first Ballon d’Or trophy later this month. A number of commentators have defended his claim as the legitimate victor.

Joshua, the son of Brazil superstar Pele, recently told the media that he believes the Real Madrid player is carrying on his father’s legacy and that he shares many similarities with him.

According to El Larguero, he started by saying, “Vinicius is like my father.”

He went on to say, “He is a player who is very well representing the history that my father left in the world of football.”

“I would like him to win the Ballon d’Or,” he stated in response to a question concerning Vinicius’ prospects of taking home the honor.

The club’s director of external relations and legend Emilio Butragueno made a very similar statement earlier this week, so this is not the first time Vini Jr. has been compared to Pele.

After acknowledging that Vinicius’ third goal made him think of Pele, he stated, “For those of us who love football it justifies coming here to the Bernabeu and seeing how a player offers you this play that provokes many emotions, including admiration.”

The young player’s next appearance will be in the much-anticipated El Clasico this weekend versus Barcelona. After all, both teams just defeated top-tier German opponents in the UCL.
