(Cricket News) Jack Leach, the left-arm spinner, will not play any more Test matches against India. Leach missed the second match of the series in Vizag due to a knee injury he suffered during the first Test of the series in Hyderabad. England has chosen not to announce a substitute.
He is scheduled to return home from Abu Dhabi within the next twenty-four hours, according to an ECB statement. Since the end of the second Test in Vizag, the England team has been in Abu Dhabi. Leach will not be travelling with them to Rajkot for the third Test, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 15.
For the remainder of his recuperation, Leach will collaborate closely with the medical teams in Somerset and England.
