(Cricket News) The Rajasthan Royals bought West Indies batsman Rovman Powell for Rs. 7.40 crore on Tuesday, making it the first team to add a player to its roster at the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai. After that, though, the franchise was not too busy, adding just four more players to its roster.
It made headlines when it paid Rs. 5.8 crore for power-hitting Indian middle-order batter Shubham Dubey, and it added a useful left-arm pacer to its ranks when it acquired South African left-arm fast bowler Nandre Burger for his base price of Rs. 50 lakhs.
