This victory, sealed with a margin of 150 runs, marked Bangladesh’s maiden win against New Zealand at home. Taijul’s outstanding display featured a potent 4-109 in the first innings, followed by an impressive 6-75 in the second innings, ultimately restricting New Zealand to 181 runs on the final day while chasing a target of 332.

Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto emphasized the significance of the team’s process-oriented approach, prioritizing the establishment of a winning culture on their home turf.
