(Football news) According to rumours in European media, Manchester United and Fiorentina have agreed a transfer agreement for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
According to reports, the agreement calls for an initial transfer of a loan for a price of around 10 million euros, with an option to make the transfer permanent in June 2024 for a fee of approximately 20 million euros plus five million in add-ons.
Since July, 27-year-old Amrabat has been mentioned in connection with a transfer to the Red Devils but has been absent from Fiorentina’s season-opening games.
Amrabat, who was born in the Netherlands and plays for Morocco in international football, won praise for his efforts in Qatar during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Amrabat played for current Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag while at the FC Utrecht academy in the Netherlands, where he graduated from the programme.
The midfielder later played for Feyenoord, Club Brugge, Hellas Verona, and Fiorentina, and it currently appears like he will join United on the final day of the transfer window.
