Arsenal see their 3rd bid for Declan Rice go in vain

Declan Rice's third proposal from Arsenal, valued at £105 million, has been ordered by West Ham to be improved
Rice

(Football news) Rice would become the second-most expensive British player in history if Arsenal accepted its latest offer, which included an initial cost of £100 million plus $5 million in add-ons. Due to their dissatisfaction with the payment arrangement, which they believe is spread out over an excessive number of years, West Ham has declined the offer. To finalise a deal for the England midfielder, Arsenal will now try to reach a compromise.

Rice has previously been the subject of two rejected proposals from the Gunners and one from Manchester City. On Tuesday, Manchester City’s offer of £80 million and an additional £10 million was declined.

Declan Rice has made it clear that he would prefer to transfer to Arsenal, where he would play a significant role in Mikel Arteta’s plan. However, the opportunity to represent Pep Guardiola’s treble winners would be alluring, and City are looking for fresh midfielders after captain Ilkay Gundogan left for free to join Barcelona.

Arsenal will be anxious that Manchester City, who have had an offer for Rice rejected on Tuesday morning for £80 million plus £10 million in add-ons, are breathing down their necks.

The East Londoners were counting on earning an amount greater than the £106 million record-breaking British transfer fee Chelsea paid for Enzo Fernandez last summer.

However, should Arsenal agree to modify their payment terms, £105 million is expected to be accepted, making England international Rice the most expensive player in British history.

Declan Rice’s latest offer from Arsenal has angered West Ham. West Ham rejected the £105 million offer from the Gunners for the midfielder because of the payment schedule. The two teams are still in contact, but it’s thought that if Arsenal wants to beat Manchester City to Rice, they will need to up their offer once more.
