(Football News) Arsenal have sealed the signing of Kai Havertz with only the official announcement pending. Arsenal improved massively last season as they finished 2nd on the Premier League table. Even though the last part of the season was a disappointment, Arsenal successfully secured a return to the UEFA Champions League after 6 years. It was pretty clear that the North London club needed to sign players to increase their squad depth. Havertz isn’t the player that anyone expected Arsenal to go and get but that is what has happened.

What Kai Havertz brings to the table is his versatility as he can play as a striker, number 10, and on either wing. The first job for Mikel Arteta is to figure out his best position. Arsenal have good players in all the front four positions so Havertz will initially have to play as a substitute. According to Havertz was the key man to get this deal done as he was desperate to sign for Arsenal. After announcing himself to the world with Bayer Leverkusen, his Chelsea career hasn’t gone too well. The German will be looking to get his career back on track to fulfill his true potential.

Mikel Arteta has taken a bit of a gamble with Kai Havertz as no one yet knows his best position. Arsenal’s transfer window has just about started as they need to fill other positions as well. The Declan Rice deal is getting more complicated as Manchester City have reportedly entered the race. They have taken themselves out of the Moises Caicedo deal as he is in talks to join Chelsea. Now if the Gunner’s miss out on both Rice and Caicedo then it will be a disaster.
