(Cricket News) Milne’s inclusion in the list is a result of his highly successful international season, where he represented the BLACKCAPS in 16 matches (11 T20Is and five ODIs), taking 24 wickets at an average of 24. This includes his career-best figures of 5-26 in the second T20I against Sri Lanka, which are the third-best T20I figures by a New Zealand player.

The 31-year-old Milne, who made his international debut in 2010, has been a part of the BLACKCAPS previous two ICC T20 World Cup campaigns.

BLACKCAPS coach Gary Stead expressed that Milne’s central contract offer is well-deserved and reflects his unwavering dedication to representing New Zealand in international cricket.

“Adam has put in tremendous effort and has shown great resilience in recent years, earning him this contract offer,” Stead commented. “He has always been an exceptional bowler, and we were impressed by his consistent performances during the recent home summer and the Pakistan tour.”

Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, and Blair Tickner have been retained in the contract list after joining mid-season last year, replacing Trent Boult, Colin de Grandhomme, and Martin Guptill, who all requested and were granted releases.

Spinner Ajaz Patel, who was part of the contract list last year but only played two Tests during that period, has not been offered a central contract.

While Boult declined a central contract once again, he has committed to being available for the BLACKCAPS for a portion of the playing schedule and has been offered a casual playing agreement based on that arrangement.

As per the Master Agreement, the players have until June 12 to accept or decline the contract offers.
