(Football news) Napoli is arguably the in-form club in Europe this season. They have won 7 and drawn 1 of their last 8 games. Napoli are 15 points clear on top of the Serie A table. They topped their UCL group by finishing above Liverpool. The Champions League knockout stage is a different ball game altogether but the Italian club has the ability to tackle it. Frankfurt on the other hand are struggling a little in the Bundesliga as they are 6th on the table. Frankfurt finished 2nd in their group behind Tottenham Hotspur and made it to the Champions League knockouts for the first time since 1960 where they played the final.
Napoli come into the game on the back of a 2-0 win away at Sassuolo. Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were on the score sheet. The duo will be the key for Napoli as they have been all season. Victor Osimhen was taken off due to a knock on the weekend but he is fine and should start. Napoli have no injuries and will have a full squad available. Frankfurt on the other hand will be without Eric Dina Ebimbe while all the other players are fit. Frankfurt will be heavily reliant on their star striker Randal Kolo Muani who has scored 7 goals in his last 6 games.
The battle between Muani and Min-Jae Kim will be very exciting to watch and could have a big impact on the end result. Frankfurt usually play in a 3 at the back which is perfect against the deadly trio of Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Hirving Lozano. Both teams are relatively inexperienced when it comes to UCL knockouts so it will be interesting to see who can cope with the pressure. Deutsche Bank stadium will be at its loudest for this match which would definitely pump the home fans.
