(Football news) Manchester United will go head-to-head against Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Red Devils have not lost a domestic home game since the beginning of the season and will be the favourites heading into the fixture. Manager Erik ten Hag has dismissed his team as title challengers but they are in with a shot, just five points behind leaders Manchester City going into the weekend. Their post World Cup form has been excellent, losing just once in 16 games in all competitions. Marcus Rashford has been in the form of his life, scoring 22 goals in all competitions and failing to score in only two matches since the mid-season break.

As for Leicester, James Maddison is in great form since his return from injury and the Foxes have scored four goals against Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur with Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho also showing their form. Maddison was on the scoresheet in both the games and with just 18 months remaining on his contract, the midfielder is now beginning to attract interest from other clubs.

Before his return from injury, Leicester City had lost four Premier League games after the World Cup and their poor start early in the season means they are still just six points above the relegation zone, despite scoring more goals than Newcastle United and Fulham, who are competing for a place in Europe.

In team news, Casemiro is unavailable for selection as he will be serving his last suspension from his three match ban but will return for the EFL final next weekend. Brazilian winger Antony is also expected to miss out due to a minor injury while Scott McTominay is also doubtful. Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek are also unavailable while Anthony Martial is still injured until at least next week.

For Leicester City, Youri Tielemans will be back in the squad after recovering from a calf injury while Boubakary Soumare is back after a two month layoff due to injury. Former Manchester United player Jonny Evans is still doubtful for this match while full-backs James Justin and Ryan Bertrand are long term absentees.
