(Football news) Brazilian wonderkid Endrick Felipe is expected to sign a contract with Real Madrid later this month as the two clubs are set to agree to a fee of €70 million including taxes and bonuses according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte. As per this agreement, the player will remain in Brazil until the start of the 2024-2025 season as FIFA does not allow underage players to make their debut for teams from other continents.
Real Madrid’s chief scout Juni Calafat has been very impressed with the Brazilian forward and the likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain, and Real Madrid were also interested in the player. Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez also stated earlier that his club were in discussion with the player and his father about a potential move. Brazilian and Spanish outlets have previously stated that Endrick Felipe will only move to a club where he will get first team opportunities, which means Manchester City have been ruled out as they already have Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
Real Madrid have let Endrick Felipe and his family know that the player remains their priority as they look for more financially viable options. His family have reportedly already been given a tour of Valdebebas and his signature remains the priority for Los Blancos. According to reputed football journalist Fabrizio Romano, only formalities are remaining in order to seal the deal and the player will join a long list of Braziliians who have donned the white shirt such as Ronaldo Nazario, Vinicius Jr., Robinho, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Marcelo, Casemiro to name a few.
