(Football news) Everton, Leeds, and Leicester are still in danger of joining already-relegated Southampton in the Championship as the Premier League relegation battle enters its final week. Everton (17th, 33 points), Leeds (18th, 31 points), and Leicester (19th, 30 points) are all still in danger with one week left in the season.

If Leeds fail to get score points against Tottenham and Leicester fail to secure both of their remaining games away at Newcastle on Monday night and at home against West Ham on the final day Everton will be certain of survival. Currently, Leeds must win to have any chance of remaining in the top flight. However, even if they defeat Tottenham on Sunday and Everton loses to Bournemouth, Leeds might still be relegated because Leicester still has six points up for grabs.

Leicester would need to defeat West Ham if they drew against Newcastle in order to have any chance of staying up. Leicester’s goal difference, now at minus 18, is so much better than both Leeds and Everton’s that even if they do lose at Newcastle, a victory against the Hammers will almost likely be enough to secure the title if Leeds don’t win on the last day and Bournemouth triumph at Everton. If Leicester loses both of their remaining games, goal differential between Everton and Leeds in the race to avoid the drop might still be the deciding factor.

Both Everton and Leeds would end the season with 34 points if they drew with Bournemouth and defeated Tottenham. Everton’s goal difference is at -24, while Leeds’ is -27. If Everton drew and Leeds won by a score of three goals or more on the final day, Leeds would finish ahead of Everton in terms of goals scored.

Everton has played 37 games and have scored 33 points and they have a GD of -24. Everton will play Bournemouth in their one remaining game. In this run Everton has won only 7 games, drawn 12 games and has lost 18 games. 

Leeds United has also played 37 games but have only 31 points with a GD of -27. The one last remaining for Leeds is Tottenham Hotspurs. Tottenham themselves are in a bad form and in search of a win to make it to the European spots. Leeds has won 7 games, drawn 10 and lost 20 games in this season so far. 

Leicester City has played 36 games and has 30 points in total with a GD of -18. Leicester City has 2 games remaining and they will play Newcastle United and West Ham United, Newcastle United are fighting to confirm their Champions League spot and they just need one point to do so. Leicester CIty has won 8 games, drawn 6 and has lost 22 times this season.
