2,000 Argentine Fans at AFA Final

River Plate and Atletico Talleres de Córdoba supporters are traveling to Paraguay to watch the much-anticipated AFA International Supercup 2023 season final, which is set to take place at the Nueva Olla stadium this Wednesday, March 5th, at 20:00.

In order to emphasize Paraguay’s standing as a friendly host country, security and immigration officials are working hard to guarantee a smooth experience for guests at this significant international event.

All essential steps are being taken to ensure that fans who are coming to watch this renowned Argentine football final—which is regarded as one of the most significant championships in the world—can enter the country easily, according to the National Directorate of Migrations.

Through the border crossings at Encarnación and Puerto Faltón, 2,100 Argentine supporters have crossed into Paraguay thus far.

Due to current prohibitions on attending athletic events, nine spectators were turned away at the border for safety reasons.  “We expect more fans to arrive throughout the day to join this international encounter,” said migration officials.

The nation’s security forces are also working together to make sure that this important athletic event is managed successfully.

To establish safety procedures for River Plate and Atlético Talleres supporters as well as locals, top National Police authorities convened for a strategic discussion.  Along with other important police officials, Sub-Commander Ramón Javier Morales Ojeda oversaw this preliminary session.

There are specific zones set aside for fans of both Argentine teams as part of the traffic laws enforced by the Asunción Municipal Police.  Supporters of Talleres will congregate in the Costanera Sur, while River fans will be housed at the Costanera Norte.

Paraguay will once again demonstrate its dominance in the world of international football by hosting the AFA Supercup.
