Wirtz Transfer Nears as Parents Visit Manchester

Florian Wirtz, Bayer Leverkusen’s youthful sensation, is inching closer to a move to the Premier League, with both man city and Liverpool showing great interest in capturing his signing.

The 22-year-old Germany international has been an outstanding player this season, registering 31 goal involvements under Xabi Alonso’s supervision.  His outstanding performances have elevated him to the status of one of Europe’s most promising talents, raising questions about where he might go next.

As he searches for a new challenge, Wirtz seems ready to follow in Xabi Alonso’s footsteps, who is anticipated to leave Leverkusen at the end of the current campaign.  His representatives have reportedly been active in the UK, and his parents have visited Manchester to look around, which has stoked speculation about a possible move to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City is still in the lead to recruit Wirtz this summer, according to sources.  According to reports, the player’s parents met with City representatives to go over their alternatives.  While Leverkusen favors a deal with Manchester City, as long as Wirtz agrees and the club’s valuation is satisfied, Bayern Munich is also in the running.

Another serious candidate is Liverpool, who are keen to add the gifted number 10 to their midfield.  Wirtz’s impressive effect is demonstrated by his 57 goals in 196 games for Leverkusen.

With his current estimated value of €140 million (£117 million), Wirtz should fetch a high transfer price.  “I’m fortunate to have great clubs around me and to play for one of the best clubs in Germany and Europe,” he said recently, reflecting on his future and expressing his preparedness for a new chapter.  I admire my teammates for putting their professions ahead of their families.  Trying something new and stepping outside of my comfort zone appeals to me.  No matter where I go, I’m sure I’d settle in fast.”
