Toni Polster: Austrian Soccer Icon

A well-known figure in the football world, Toni Polster is an Austrian professional soccer coach and former player. Polster played for Austria’s national team from 1982 to 2000, during which time he became the all-time top goal scorer for the nation. He broke the long-standing Austrian goal-scoring record held by Hans Krankl in 1996 with an outstanding record of 95 caps and 44 goals.

Polster switched from playing to coaching after retirement, starting as LASK Linz’s reserve team coach in January 2010.
