One Barcelona player has returned from injury: THE SHARK

In a pivotal La Liga away match against Real Betis last night, FC Barcelona lost the chance to win all three points. Hansi Flick’s team lost the lead in the La Liga title race to Real Madrid after the game finished in a 2-2 draw.

Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski both gave Barcelona goals that evening, giving them two goals. The assists came from Lamine Yamal and Jules Koundé. Interestingly, it was the Spanish forward’s second straight goal.

Ferran Torres seems considerably sharper in front of goal after only returning from an injury layoff. Since his return, “The Shark,” as he is known, has shown remarkable form, scoring two goals in as many games, according to SPORT.

Ferran Torres is frequently an annoying player to watch. He has a reputation for wasting a lot of opportunities, even among Barcelona supporters. But it rarely receives the recognition it merits because he frequently finds himself in those scoring positions.

But there’s a reason why the coaches he’s played for hold the former Manchester City forward in such high regard. Xavi, Hansi Flick, Luis de la Fuente, Pep Guardiola, and Luis Enrique have all praised Ferran’s contributions to the team, both on and off the field.

Ferran Torres is fundamentally a smart football player. He has a remarkable ability to understand the game and places himself in positions where he may threaten the opposition. His effort off the ball, where he constantly performs well, is his real strength.

Nonetheless, the Spaniard will want to get better at finishing. Finishing is a skill that can always be improved with practice, but attacking intellect is an intrinsic trait that cannot be taught.

How Ferran’s role develops in the future is still up in the air. He will continue to be a vital member of the team whether he is starting or coming off the bench. Supporters can only hope he continues to develop and reach his full potential.
