Long jumper M Sreeshankar out of the running for Olympics medal

(Athletics news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: The Olympic Games campaign of 22-year-old Murali Sreeshankar has come to an end after he managed 7.69 and 7.51 in his first two attempts and only 7.43m in his final attempt with 8.15m being the direct qualification mark.

The world number 38 got off to a good start, to say the least. In his first effort, he got a distance of 7.69 (+0.1). Sreeshankar was unable to better that distance on his second effort, which was 7.51 metres (-0.2).
