Manchester United receiver major intertest by Napoli for winger

Borussia Dortmund has reportedly contacted Napoli to negotiate a transfer for Karim Adeyemi, while the Italian team appears to have cooled their interest in Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United
Manchester

(Football news) Having banked a healthy transfer fee for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli will be active this month, with Antonio Conte’s side determined to boost their attack for the second half of the campaign.

The Serie A giants continue to be strongly linked with Garnacho, and it is understood that the club had a £40m bid for the Argentina international turned down towards the end of last week.

Manchester United have allegedly made it clear that they will not accept less than £55 million for the 20-year-old, and Napoli are currently deciding on their next move when it comes to the Red Devils forward.

Chelsea are also believed to be in the running, with the Blues weighing up what would be a shock bid for Garnacho, who is said to be open to leaving Old Trafford before the end of the January transfer window.

Napoli ‘contact Dortmund to discuss Adeyemi’

According to multiple reports, Napoli have now been in touch with Dortmund to discuss a deal for Adeyemi, who is allegedly available during the January market.

Romano claims that Napoli are still keen on Garnacho, but having had a first bid rejected, the Serie A team are now looking at alternatives, with 23-year-old Adeyemi viewed as a genuine target.

Due to the costs that will be involved, it is highly unlikely that Napoli would be able to sign both Garnacho and Adeyemi this month, so the chance to move to Naples may soon be off the table for the Manchester United attacker.

Adeyemi has also been linked with Chelsea this month, while Liverpool are said to have a long-standing interest in the forward.

Rashford future is also seemingly linked to Garnacho saga

Marcus Rashford is expected to leave Manchester United on loan before the end of the month, and Dortmund are believed to be one of the serious contenders for the Englishman.

As a result, if a deal for Rashford can be secured, it is likely that Adeyemi would become available relatively quickly, potentially allowing Napoli to wrap up a move in the not too distant future.

A switch to Naples for Garnacho may then be off the table, potentially giving Chelsea a clear run at the Argentina international, but it would still be a shock if Man United let him join a Premier League rival.

It is set to be a fascinating conclusion to the January transfer window, as Manchester United are also targeting a striker and a left-back, but there will have to be exits in order for the 20-time English champions to boost their squad.
