DUBLIN – According to a press release by Cricket Ireland, the Ireland Wolves tour to Bangladesh has received a thumbs up after Cricket Ireland and the Bangladesh Cricket Board finalized the safety, health and travel arrangements for the players and staff during the tour. The tour will commence from February 17th to March 19th this year. The Wolves are scheduled to play a six-match series consisting of a four day game, 3 ODI & 3 T20 against Bangladesh A. The fixtures are as follows : 26 February to 1 March 2021 – Four day game: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram 5 March 2021– 50 over match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram 7 March 2021 – 50 over match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram 9 March 2021 – 50 over match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram 12 March 2021 – 50 over match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka 14 March 2021 – 50 over match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka 17 March 2021 – T20 match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka 18 March 2021 – T20 match: Bangladesh A v Ireland Wolves at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka The Ireland Wolves squad: Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Peter Chase, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Stephen Doheny, Jonathan Garth, Shane Getkate, Graham Hume, Jeremy Lawlor, Josh Little, James McCollum, Neil Rock, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White. Harry Tector will lead the side during the limited over matches and George Dockrell will lead the Wolves during the red-ball match. Chair of National Men’s Selectors, Andrew White, said, “To get this tour approved is a credit to both cricket boards and we are looking forward to a competitive series against tough opponents in subcontinent conditions.” “The squad we have selected is a strong one, many of which have some senior international experience at this stage. However, the reality is that these players are still young and have much still to do in order to develop and be successful on the international stage on a consistent basis.
