Chennai, Dec 4 (PTI) Speed Demons Delhi and GodSpeed Kochi had a good outing in the third round of the Indian Racing League (IRL) at the Madras International Circuit near here on Sunday.
Speed Demons Delhi entered the third leg at the bottom of the points table and an impressive performance on Sunday-pole position in Q2, victory in Sprint Race 2 and second spot in the feature race, made it a productive round.
On the other hand, Godspeed Kochi secured the top spot in Q1, victory in Sprint Race 1 to conclude a successful weekend for the team.
Hyderabad Black Birds won the feature race, Neel Jani and Akhil Rabindra topped with a timing of 00:41:20.848 followed by Speed Demons Delhi represented by Shahan Ali Mohsin and Akash Gowda and Bangalore Speedsters (Rishon Rajeev and Bianca Bustamante) with an overall lap timing of 00:41:21.384 and 00:41:22.633 respectively.
Earlier, Speed Demons Delhi represented by Akash Gowda, Shahan Ali Mohsin, Célia Martin and Mitchell Gilbert took pole position followed by Jon Lancaster (Chennai Turbo Riders).
With all six teams winning taking pole positions in different races over the last two weeks, the final leg at the Hyderabad Street Circuit on December 10 and 11, is expected to be in enthralling contest.
