The Mbappe saga is the perfect example of Real Madrid’s pull power

(Football news) Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is the most dragged out transfer deal in football history. The recent update says that the French superstar has rejected an extension offer for 2 years with whatever salary he wants, a guaranteed sporting project and an option to leave after the World Cup.

The reason for why PSG are doing all this is because the President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is Qatari and has played a big part in making Qatar the hosts of the 2022 World Cup. The reports are that Al-Khelaifi wants Mbappe to be a PSG player when he plays in the World Cup. Mbappe has rejected a number of offers before as well. There is a lot of pressure on Mbappe with the President of France publicly and personally asking him to stay in Paris. Reports also suggest that his family has a very good relationship with PSG and want him to stay as well.

Real Madrid on the other hand are very calm and are putting zero pressure on Mbappe. They have left the decision to the player but their position is clear. If Mbappe signs a contract renewal with PSG, Real Madrid will never make an effort to sign him. The situation shows that dreams cannot be bought. Kylian Mbappe is a boyhood Real Madrid fan who dreamt of wearing the royal white jersey. It also shows that Real Madrid's pull power is more than any other club.

If Real Madrid wants to sign a player, 9 out of 10 times they will be successful in doing so. Mbappe himself will be focused on the 2nd leg UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against Real Madrid. All this saga would've been avoided if PSG had accepted Real Madrid's offer for Mbappe last summer or even entertained negotiation with them. It will definitely cost PSG a lot of money along with the loss of a world class player. Real Madrid are also working on the signing of Erling Haaland and left back along with the renewal of Marco Asensio.
