Real Madrid to replace the outgoing Marco Asensio with Paulo Dybala

(Football news) Marco Asensio who has only one year left on his contract is reportedly on his way out. Real Madrid will let the Spaniard leave if a significant offer arrives. His new agent Jorge Mendes is working on the transfer with the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United and AC Milan interested. Real Madrid were going to offer him a new contract but have now changed their mind after a meeting with the player's entourage. A move away is the likely option because Real Madrid wouldn't want to lose him for free.

Asensio had a very average last season which is bad from Real Madrid standards. He had a period where he was the first choice right winger but as the season progressed he found himself below Fede Valverde and Rodrygo in the pecking order. Asensio has publicly said that he wants continuity at this stage of his career. His form has massively dropped ever since his ACL injury and a move away from the Bernabeu will suit all parties. The Premier League looks a likely destination but AC Milan have also expressed interest in him. Asensio can play on either wing and as a number 10. He has a natural goalscoring instinct and has an incredible left foot which allows him to score goals from miles out.

Real Madrid will have to replace the Spaniard by bringing in an attacking option. Paulo Dybala has emerged as a shock candidate to replace Asensio. The Argentine would be perfect for Real Madrid. He can play on the right wing and at the same time can be Benzema's back-up. Dybala left Juventus after the club couldn't reach an agreement with him. He was heavily linked with Inter Milan but Real Madrid could hijack the deal. Dybala is 28 years of age and is in the prime of his career. Getting him for free will be an incredible deal but it will be very difficult as Inter are way ahead in negotiations.
