Paul Pogba to be sidelined for at least 2 months with knee injury

(Football news) Just days after signing for Juventus, Paul Pogba has suffered a massive injury blow. The Frenchman has suffered an injury to lateral meniscus for which he will be going through a surgery. Pogba is likely to be sidelined for 2-3 months which is terrible news for both the club and the player. The midfielder spent the majority of last season on the sidelines and Juventus were always taking a risk while signing him. Now the club is in a bit of predicament and the sales of midfielders will have to be stopped. Arthur and Aaron Ramsey are reportedly open to leaving the club but that will now be affected by Pogba's long term injury.

Juventus was the club at which Paul Pogba became known as one of the most talented players in the world. After 6 years with Manchester United, Pogba has come back to the Bianconeri. His Manchester United phase had very few highs and was mostly turbulent. Injury issues, work rate and relationship with fans have all contributed to it. Pogba at the time of leaving would have had a feeling that he has wasted 6 years of his prime which isn't too wrong to say. Juventus had given him a second chance but the start hasn't been great.

Juventus have been heavily linked with PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes and they might have to accelerate their pursuit now that Pogba is going to spend a lot of time on the treatment table. Juventus went trophyless last season and there will be some amount of pressure to deliver silverware this season. Pogba was supposed to be an important part of the side but his injury makes things doubtful.
