Mohammed Salah might be the best player in the world based on his current form

(Football news) Mohammed Salah has already established himself as one of the greatest player to wear the Liverpool jersey, last week the Egyptian scored his 100th goal for Liverpool and in doing so he became the fastest player in the Merseyside clubs history to reach a century in the top flight by achieving the milestone in just 151 games. Not only that in doing so he also became the fifth quickest player to reach 100 Premier goals in the history, quite an extraordinary feat as he’s the only winger in that elusive list.

This season with the arrival of Ronaldo in the Premier League Salah has gone under the radar but he's arguably having one of the best starts to a season in terms of goal scoring and chances creation. Salah has already scored 8 times this season and currently is leading the Premier league scoring charts with 5 goals. Over the years he has consistently bagged 20 goals but the media seem to under appreciate his achievements. In his first season for Liverpool, he scored 32 goals, many called him a one season wonder but since then he is just proving all rival fans and pundits wrong. His numbers are there for everyone to see but his all round play and influence on his team is at par with the likes of Ronaldo and Messi.

Salah over the years has become Mr Dependable for Liverpool, consistently performing at an optimum level for five seasons now and ever since he arrived in  Liverpool he got them back to their glory days. Salah is clearly an Anfield legend and possibly one of the greatest African players to play in the Premier League as the Liverpool hierarchy should just hand him a new contract to avoid any future threats.

Former United legend Rio Ferdinand said: “We need to do a whole segment on Salah not getting the attention, the time, the talk, the focus which he deserves.“He’s the fifth quickest to 100 Premier League goals in history, and the biggest fact of all is that he’s a wide player. He’s a wide striker, he’s not an actual out-and-out number nine. Ahead of him is Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, Thierry Henry and then Salah. Go and watch Salah and what he does. He dominates and destroys top level players on a regular basis. He makes the game look easy, he makes football look easy. When a player’s doing that at the speed at which he plays, that tells you they’re high level. Numbers, trophies don’t lie. Salah has it all.”

Former Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said, "He is massively important and sometimes I feel sorry for Mo Salah because I think he goes under the radar in terms of Liverpool. When people talk about Liverpool winning the league, they always go back to Liverpool signing Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk. Mo Salah came six months before [Van Dijk]. It is the three of them but everyone mentions that it was the goalkeeper and the centre-back that took Liverpool to this next level but Mo Salah is a huge part of that success."
