Inter take on Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana final

(Football news) The reigning Italian Champions Inter Milan face the reigning Coppa Italia champions Juventus at the San Siro to see who wins the first silverware of this season. This encounter of league and cup winners will be just the second Derby d'Italia in the Supercoppa, after the 2005 edition and giving it an even greater occasion.

Inter will be making their tenth appearance in the Supercoppa as it will subsequently be the club's first since 2011 when they lost to their city rivals Milan. Juventus have been champions for the last nine seasons as the Turin giants were finally defeated by their Inter counterparts. Last year they faced Inter across two legs in the Coppa Italia semi-final last season and they defeated them on their way to lifting the trophy for the 14th time in their club history.
