(Football news) Arsenal have completed the signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City for £45m. The Brazilian will sign a contract that will keep him at the club till 2027. Jesus will be Arsenal's 4th signing after Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Fabio Viera. After losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette, Arsenal desperately needed a striker. Jesus was their priority and the Gunners have secured his signing. In addition to that they have extended Eddie Nketiah's contract till 2027. Arsenal are also trying to sign Rafinha from Leeds but the deal will be very complicated due to the price tag and competition. 

Gabriel Jesus never got continuity at Manchester City due to Pep Guardiola's rotation policy. Now that they have signed Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, the Brazilian would've really struggled for game time. Jesus was on Real Madrid's list but the deal couldn't go through because of La Liga's non-European players rule. A move to Arsenal makes perfect sense because he will most likely lead the line. The striker has previously worked with Mikel Arteta when the Spaniard was Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City. Jesus was said to be very keen on Champions League football but Arteta has managed to convince the Brazilian. 

Jesus isn't a traditional number 9 but someone who can play anywhere in the front three. His biggest strength is his quickness and movement. Arteta doesn't necessarily have to build a team around Jesus because he will fit into any system. Figuring his best position might take some time and thinking for Arteta. Arsenal are making significant moves in the market and failing to qualify for the Champions hasn't seemed to slow down Arsenal in any way. Rivals Manchester United on the other hand are really struggling to make any signings. Some changes can be seen at Arsenal as they seem to be on the right steps towards the top. Their realistic target next season would be a top 4 finish and possibly a piece of silverware.
