Here’s why Manchester United should go all out for Christian Eriksen

(Football news) Christian Eriksen's future is currently hanging in the balance. After suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's UEFA Euros clash against Finland, the midfielder had an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator fitted. He was under contract with Inter Milan but the club had to terminate it because Eriksen wasn't allowed to play in the Serie A due to the presence of implantable cardioverter defibrillator. In January, Eriksen signed with newly promoted Brentford for the rest of the season.

Eriksen had a really good season with Brentford, helping them finish 13th on the table. The midfielder scored a goal and got 4 assists in 11 Premier League appearances. Now that his contract with Brentford has expired, Eriksen has a decision to make. Brentford have already made it clear that they want to keep Eriksen at the club. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are the other two clubs interested in the player. Leaving all the emotional things aside about Brentford giving Eriksen an opportunity, it is pretty clear that the player is too good to play for the club. A move away from the club will definitely be the right thing for his career.

Eriksen is a kind of player which Manchester United desperately need. United currently look determined to bring Frenkie De Jong to the club but Eriksen also needs to be a priority. The Danish midfielder has been an immense success in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur. He is capable of playing as a number 10, number 8 and occasionally on the wing. A player of Eriksen's quality on a free transfer is an absolute bargain. The decision won't be easy for the player who would want regular game time in preparation for the World Cup. It all depends on Erik ten Hag and if he is ready to guarantee Eriksen game time.
