Dele Alli to consider a move to Besiktas in search of game time

(Football news) Dele Alli is reportedly considering a move away from Everton this season with Besiktas interested. According to reports, Everton and Besiktas have agreed to a deal for Alli but the player hasn't made his decision yet. Playing abroad is a difficult decision for any player therefore it shouldn't be a surprise if Alli takes a long time to think about the move. He still has two years left on his current contract but still shouldn't cost a lot of money. Manager Frank Lampard has also left the decision to the player to decide what he wants to do. Alli's priority at this point of his career will be game time which has been limited at Everton.

Dele Alli was once considered the most talented English midfielder in the world. He won the PFA Young Player of the year award for two consecutive seasons in 2016 and 2017. At the same time he also attracted interest from Real Madrid. His career has fallen down quite a bit. His laziness was highlighted in Tottenham Hotspur's All or nothing documentary while injuries have also affected his game. A move away from the spotlight in Turkey might actually be a good thing for him because he can always come back to England once he gets his rhythm and confidence back.

Last season, Everton's game against Crystal Palace in which they came back from 2 goals down to win 3-2 and secure safety is one of the best moments in the club's recent past. Alli played a crucial role after coming on at half time and changing the game. He has had his moments and Everton won't mind keeping him considering their financial troubles. The realistic expectation for the Toffees this season would be survival and Alli could still prove to be an important part of it.
