Bundesliga: Bayern take on Leverkusen in a top of the table match as Dortmund look to take advantage by winning against Mainz

(Football news) After the final leg of international football matches, Bundesliga will be back with some mouth watering fixtures, Bayern after losing last week to Frankfurt would like to get back to winning ways as they face in form Bayer Leverkusen. Dortmund will be looking to take advantage of this situation as they can potentially go on top of the table if Bayern draws against Leverksuen.

Bayern take on early pacesetters Bayer Leverkusen in a top of the table clash. Nagelsman’s side will be looking to keep the momentum and win against Leverkusen to consolidate their top spot in the table. For Leverkusen this season Florian Wirtz has dominated all the headlines for his magnificent start to the season as Bayern defenders need to be wary of his threat. Kingsley Coman and Tolisso will most likely miss the match as they will also miss Lucas Hernandez due to an impending court case, Leverkusen on the other hand will be without Baumgartlinger, Tapsoba and Fosu Mensah.

Dortmund take on Maniz who are enjoying one of the best starts to their season in their clubs history. Marco Rose’s side will be given an added boost as their talisman Erling Haaland will come back from injury and will likely at least make an appearance against Mainz. Although Nico Schulz, Reyna and Dahoud will be out for this all important clash. Dortmund have a 100% home record as Marco Rose will be looking to win a string of matches to gain some momentum for a potential title run.

RB Leipzig take on in form Freiburg, this will be an historic occasion for Frieburg as they will play their first match in the new Europa Park Stadion. Jesse Marsch will be without Halstenberg, Brobbey and Saracchi as Angelino will likely be reinstated in the playing XI. Dani Olmo also might be out of this important clash as he suffered a minor injury during the international break.  For Freiburg this is a chance to showcase their improvement as they have already achieved their best ever start in the Bundesliga.
