Bundesliga: Bayern hope to bounce against Union Berlin as Dortmund face FC Koln

(Football news) Hoffenhiem started off the weekend with a 2-0 victory over Hertha as goals from Kramaric and Rudy sealed the three points for them. Bayern will be hoping to leave behind the midweek disappointment against Mochengladbach and get back to winning ways in the league, Dortmund will take on Koln at home and will be looking to maintain their 100% record at home.

Bayern take on Union Berlin away from home, Nagelsmann’s men will be wary of how threatening Union can be as they begin the weekend just a point outside the top four. Bayern will be hoping to bounce back from a 5-0 thrashing from Gladbach and return to their blistering form in recent weeks, Bayern will get a timely return of Alphonso Davis and Leon Goretzka from injury. Bayern defenders need to be on their toes against Taiwo Awoniyi, who has taken the centre stage with seven goals from nine Bundesliga appearances, including four across the last three matches.This a must win game for The Bavarians as they are just a point ahead of Dortmund and they need to win in order to keep the first position.

Dortmund take on FC Koln in a very important match for Marco Rose’s side, they will be hoping to maintain winning ways as they have to maintain pressure on Bayern at the top. FC Koln are playing some good football so far this season, and they sit 8th in the league as a result of it. If Dortmund are to take home three points then they need to stop Anthony Modeste, who has been in good form scoring six goals in nine games. Dortmund will again be without their talisman Erling Haaland who is looking likely to be out until 2022, Rapheal Guerreio, Gio Reyna, Mo Dahoud and Nico Schulz will all be out with injuries.

RB Leipzig will take on Frankfurt away from home as they continue their rise up the table after a poor start to the season. Marsch will be boosted by the return of Dani Olmo who might make his first appearance since the last international break. Bayer Leverkusen take on Wolfsburg in a crucial match for both the teams. Wolfsburg will have Florian Kohfedt in charge for his first game as he looks to break a four match losing streak for the wolves, on the other hand high flying Leverkusen have somewhat lost their way over the past few weeks, Gerardo Seoane will be hoping that they can return to winning ways and mount an unlikely challenge for the title.
