Atletico Madrid host Champions Real Madrid; Barcelona travel to Betis

(Football news) La Liga already has a new champion in the form of Real Madrid. Los Blancos have now won the league title an incredible 35 times and they are also in the finals of the UEFA Champions League. Despite the winners being crowned there is still a lot left to play for in the League. The main focus will be on the top 4 spots as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis and Real Sociedad.

Atletico Madrid will take on newly crowned champions and arch rivals Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano. There have been a lot of talks about the Guard of honour situation but Atleti would be fully focused on getting the 3 points. The Rojiblancos, despite being in terrible form, would fancy their chances because Real Madrid are likely to rest a few of their top players. On top of that Marcelo, Luka Jovic, Isco and Dani Ceballos are reportedly out with injuries. Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and David Alaba are still out with injuries. Karim Benzema will definitely want to start the game in order to extend his goal scoring tally. Atletico Madrid on the other hand will be without Mario Hermoso and Reinildo who are suspended. Thomas Lemar and Joao Felix are still sidelined with injuries. Real Madrid have won the league already, they will want to get better of Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona and Real Betis will face off at the Benito Villamarin. A win for Barcelona will virtually guarantee their place in the top 4 while Betis need a win to stay in the race. Barcelona will be without Pedri, Nico Gonzalez, Sergi Roberto and Sergino Dest. Gerard Pique is also a massive doubt for the game but Ansu Fati could finally get some minutes. Betis are likely to be without Marc Bartra, William Carvalho, Victor Camarasa and Martin Montoya. Both the sides are not in the best of forms but need wins which should make it an interesting contest.
